German Gestapo Comes after “Right-Wing“ Journalist

Gateway Pundit has written about the increasing political persecution of conservative politicians and journalists in Europe. Now, German police have raided the home of an innocent “right-wing” blogger, while state media rely on violent Antifa supporters as “experts” on “right-wing radicalization.”

Conservative Journalist Hermann S. and his wife were arrested on Friday in the south German city of Landshut on suspicion of having sent “right-wing hate mails”, their house was searched, computers and electronic devices seized. Now they are being investigated for “illegally owning weapons” because Hermann, a career police officer of 29 years, owned two unregistered antique pistols inherited from his grandfather, a WW II era P38 and a 100-year-old Belgian revolver, along with a dummy “pump gun” style shotgun. They have since been released.

The charge: Hermann S. is accused of having sent 6 “hate mails” to leftist politicians signed “NSU 2.0”, a reference to the “National Socialist Underground”, a 10-year old gang of skinhead East German hoodlums who randomly murdered 9 mostly Turkish migrants and killed themselves when the cops were closing in 2011. The doltish and ham-handed “NSU” is universally condemned by all conservative politicians in Germany, but still routinely cited by the Left as evidence of a “vast right-wing conspiracy” in German society.

Now, apparently, the moniker is being used to tar conservative bloggers like Hermann S., who had no idea about the e-mails written in his name. Speaking to Gateway Pundit Wednesday, he said, “Whoever wrote the mails signed them with my full name and address, as if that was a likely thing for underground terrorists to do.” When he asked the investigators about this glaring contradiction, the police told him maybe he accidentally signed the mails with his address.  Hermann now faces a lengthy court case and may lose his police pension.

Even worse is the permanent tarring of his reputation, however. The obviously ridiculous charges were immediately leaked to mainstream media without any presumption of innocence or protection of his identity, listing his online moniker of “Eugen Prinz”, a reference to Prince Eugene of Savoy, who led the battle against the Ottoman Turks after the Siege of Vienna 1683.

Hermann S. is fairly sure he was set up by left-wing activists, who are coming after all conservative journalists and politicians world-wide now. He writes for leading German alternative news site “Politically Incorrect” (PI News), which was founded 2006 after the Mohammed caricatures controversy. PI News is staunchly pro-USA and pro-Israel, as its editorial guidelines state: “We support Israel and its citizens in what is their natural right: The right to live in freedom and peace.”

Hermann S. has also written about increasing anti-Semitism in Germany, saying in August 2019, “If there is one country in the world with an obligation to do everything to make Jews feel secure, it is Germany.” Nevertheless, the MSM continue to smear Hermann and PI News as “far right” and insinuate ties to neo-Nazis without any evidence. Even when Hermann is cleared, however, the charges will be on Wikipedia and Google forever and be used to attack PI News as “neo-Nazi” from here on out.

The mainstream media also immediately sought to smear the conservative AfD party with the trumped-up charges against Hermann S., as well, citing that he had “attended a media conference” in the Bundestag organized by the four AfD MPs, Uwe Schulz, Udo Hemmelgarn, Petr Bystron und Nicole Höchst. The conference in May 2019 dealt with topics like “Legal Assistance for Conservative Bloggers” and also featured a speech by gay British pundit Milo Yiaannopoulos after hours.

“The Antifa in Germany acts like the radical left-wing in the USA: They are burning down cities and rioting in Portland, just like in Hamburg at the G20 riots 2017, but the police come after a blog for the crime of criticizing mass migration and Islamization”, MP Petr Bystron told the Gateway Pundit. “Fortunately, these trumped-up charges are so ridiculous they have already begun to backfire and expose what a complete set-up this is. It’s time for conservatives to unite and stand together, and spark a world-wide wave of protest against these Gestapo methods of the radical left. Democracy and freedom of speech are under attack all over Europe, and Germany has become a case for OSCE election observers, due to the incessant attacks on conservative parties and media.”

Last week, state-run public broadcaster ARD launched a media attack on a German Army social media officer for alleged support of “right-wing” posts on Twitter – which turned out to be three “likes” on posts by someone the man had never met. The story began to backfire when it turned our the reporter of CNN-style “Panorama” magazine never bothered to contact the man, and relied on the testimony of an “expert” who was deeply tied to violent  Antifa groups and the G20 riots. No raids have been ordered on left-wing journalists with extremist ties.

Liberty University Sues New York Times Over Its Coverage of the College’s Response to COVID-19

Liberty University is filing a $10 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times after it “intentionally misrepresented” the college’s response to COVID-19.

Campus Reform previously reported on Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr.’s handling of the coronavirus on campus in April, specifically highlighting how the New York Times singled out the private, evangelical university that is run by one of President Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters. Liberty faced harsh scrutiny over its response while other colleges that responded in much the same way got a pass.

The 100-page lawsuit refutes the claims made in several articles published by the New York Times,  including an opinion editorial titled, “The Religious Right’s Hostility to Science is Crippling Our Coronavirus Response.” The suit claims that Falwell is painted as a science denier and “religious ultraconservative.” However, Falwell and Liberty University are currently not mentioned in the piece.

The New York Times also ran an opinion editorial titled “This Land of Denial and Death.” The piece characterizes Falwell as a science denier and claims that this disbelief led to the creation of “his own personal viral hot spot.”

The central piece of the lawsuit, however, is a “viral story” by New York Times feature writer Elizabeth Williamson, titled “Liberty University Brings Back Its Students, and Coronavirus Fears, Too.”

“The day after defendants published the story and made it go ‘viral’ with the sensational headline, ‘Liberty Brings Back its Students, and Coronavirus, Too,’ they changed the online headline to ‘Liberty Brings Back its Students, and Coronavirus Fears, Too.’” The suit argues that this alteration shows the “defendants’ understanding that their central claim was false.”

“Simply put, defendants’ claim that ‘Liberty Brings Back its Students, and Coronavirus, Too’ was made up. Their claim that Liberty ‘Reopened, and Students Got Sick’ was made up. Their claim that after purportedly reopening, ‘students started getting sick’ with ‘nearly a dozen Liberty students . . . sick with symptoms that suggest Covid-19’ was made up. And their claim that the ‘consequences’ of reopening had come home to roost’ in the form of a COVID-19 outbreak was made up,” the suit states.

Leaked FOX News Internal Memo Refers to Hannity, John Solomon and Rudy Giuliani as “Disinformation”

FOX News REALLY hates their audience. A leaked internal memo obtained by the far left Daily Beast and Law and Crime refers to Sean Hannity, John Solomon and Rudy Giuliani as “disinformation.”

The 162-page memo, entitled “Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration,” created by Bryan S. Murphy, slams Rudy Giuliani, investigative journalist John Solomon and top ranked FOX News host Sean Hannity.

The memo by Bryan Murphy also says Rudy Giuliani is “easily fooled” by Ukrainians. Rudy Giuliani has remarkable record of 4,000 convictions as Associate US Attorney and defended President Trump in the attempted coup by Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissman. He is hardly a gullible fool!

It is not clear what Bryan Murphy considers “disinformation” but Rudy Giuliani and John Solomon’s reporting includes Ukrainian documents and testimony from Ukrainian officials.

FOX News better have a good explanation for this. FOX News viewers don’t like being lied to. And they especially don’t like blanket smears against their favorite conservatives based on garbage reporting.

The Daily Beast reported:

An internal Fox News research briefing book obtained by The Daily Beast openly questions Fox News contributor John Solomon’s credibility, accusing him of playing an “indispensable role” in a Ukrainian “disinformation campaign.”

The document also accuses frequent Fox News guest Rudy Giuliani of amplifying disinformation, as part of an effort to oust former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, and blasts Fox News guests Victoria Toensing and Joe diGenova—both ardent Trump boosters—for “spreading disinformation.”

The 162-page document, entitled “Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration,” was created by Fox News senior political affairs specialist Bryan S. Murphy, who produces research from what is known as the network’s Brain Room—a newsroom division of researchers who provide information, data, and topic guides for the network’s programming.

The research brief is especially critical of Solomon, a former opinion columnist at The Hill whose opinion pieces about Ukraine made unsubstantiated claims about its government interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Solomon’s pieces for The Hill fueled Giuliani’s efforts to dig up dirt in Ukraine, which eventually helped lead to President Donald Trump’s impeachment. Trump has also frequently cited Solomon’s questionable reporting on Twitter in his own defense.

Tulsi Gabbard Files $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Hillary Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has filed a $50 million lawsuit against Hillary Clinton. The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. It asserts that Clinton “carelessly and recklessly impugned” Gabbard’s reputation when she said that the candidate is “the favorite of the Russians” on a podcast.

Clinton’s claim dominated the news cycle and made headlines in nearly every news publication.

Gabbard’s complaint says that she intends to hold Clinton and other “political elites” accountable for “distorting the truth in the middle of a critical Presidential election.”

“Tulsi Gabbard is running for President of the United States, a position Clinton has long coveted, but has not been able to attain. In October 2019—whether out of personal animus, political enmity, or fear of real change within a political party Clinton and her allies have long dominated—Clinton lied about her perceived rival Tulsi Gabbard. She did so publicly, unambiguously, and with obvious malicious intent,” the lawsuit reads. “Tulsi has been harmed by Clinton’s lies—and American democracy has suffered as well. With this action, Tulsi seeks to hold Clinton, and the political elites who enable her, accountable for distorting the truth in the middle of a critical Presidential election.”

The lawsuit lays out Gabbard’s support for Bernie Sanders in 2016, which caused her to step down from her role as the vice chair of the DNC, and says that it has left Clinton with animus towards her.

“Clinton—a cutthroat politician by any account—has never forgotten this perceived slight. And in October 2019, she sought retribution by lying, publicly and loudly, about Tulsi Gabbard. Specifically, in widely disseminated national comments, Clinton falsely stated that Tulsi—an Army National Guard officer and United States Congresswoman who has spent her entire adult life serving this country—is a ‘Russian asset.’ Clinton’s false assertions were made in a deliberate attempt to derail Tulsi’s presidential campaign,” the lawsuit continues.

Gabbard’s suit refers to Clinton’s remarks as a “conspiracy theory” that has “harmed American democracy.”

“Clinton had no basis for making her false assertions about Tulsi—and indeed, there is no factual basis for Clinton’s conspiracy theory. Clinton’s peddling of this theory has harmed Tulsi, has harmed American voters, and has harmed American democracy. Tulsi brings this lawsuit to ensure that the truth prevails and to ensure this country’s political elites are held accountable for intentionally trying to distort the truth in the midst of a critical Presidential election,” it reads.

Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill responded to the news by telling NBC, “that’s ridiculous.”

Merrill, when asked at the time if Clinton meant Gabbard with her Russian asset comments, replied “if the nesting doll fits.”

Monica Crowley Vindicated by Columbia Univ. after Fake Plagiarism Accusations from CNN, Establishment Media

Treasury Department Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs Monica Crowley has been vindicated by Columbia University after a years-long investigation ultimately concluded she did not plagiarize her thesis, despite allegations by CNN and other establishment media outlets that she did.

Crowley, now the Treasury Department’s top spokeswoman but previously a Fox News contributor, had been under consideration to join the National Security Council (NSC) in the White House at the very beginning of President Donald Trump’s administration under his first national security adviser, retired Gen. Mike Flynn. Then, allegations from CNN and Politico, among other publications, claimed that she plagiarized her 2012 book and her thesis at Columbia, sparking Columbia to launch a review of her thesis that has now concluded.

The review found Crowley did not commit research misconduct, and sources familiar with the investigation added that the university is “not disciplining her in any way.” The university also, the source familiar with the details of the investigation told Breitbart News, found no research misconduct by Crowley. She encourages the public to read her PhD dissertation—which is about U.S.-China relations—because it is a clearly newsworthy topic and added she is proud of her work.

“After CNN and other news outlets falsified my PhD dissertation by omitting nearly 40 footnotes, Columbia University began a process to review the work,” Crowley told Breitbart News on Friday afternoon. “I am delighted that they have concluded that there was no research misconduct, as I have maintained all along. I was also happy to address any inadvertent and honest errors and update the work. I am extremely proud of the dissertation, particularly given the fresh timeliness of its subject—the U.S.-China relationship—and hope that others will read and appreciate it.”

A source familiar with the matter told Breitbart News that the university’s use of the word “plagiarism” in its statement is a purely academic definition, and not the widely accepted use of the term.
